Ever since Ruth pointed out to me the obituary notices hanging all over town, I've noticed them a lot more. I found it mildly curious that they are always mounted on green paper.
Then I saw one mounted on blue and realized it had a Star of David.
The color of paper the death notice is mounted on represents religion: green for Muslim, black for Christian, and blue for Jewish.
