Austrian friends of ours who have two charming little girls invited us over for a playdate. Eleanor loved playing with all the girly dress-up things.
While Eleanor and the girls were dressing up, Isaac pawed through their Lego, rejecting all the pink and purple pieces, and built a space shuttle. He proudly brought it downstairs to show the grown-ups. The little girls' dad, who works for Austria Airlines and who understands little boys as well as he understands little girls, hopped up and pulled a box down from a high shelf. "This is for you. I think you will like it," he told Isaac.
A fiftieth anniversary commemoration of Austrian Airlines airplanes. Even the propellers spin. Thank goodness for dads who were once little boys, too.
