January holiday
Bosnian public schools are closed during January. What to do for a month?
Ski! A bunch of ski schools operate during January. They pick your kids up from your house in the morning, drive them to the ski resort, rent equipment and lift tickets for them, teach them all day, and bring them home to you at the end of the day. All for about the price of a lift ticket in the US.
Isaac and Eleanor are skiing with the school run by Isaac's friend's uncle (such a Bosnian way to find a ski school!). The days seem long to Eleanor, but she told us yesterday that she is pretty much the master of her ski class. And Isaac has announced that he loves to ski fast, so his instructor is always yelling at him to slow down.
We hope to go up with them soon. Then maybe they can give their mother a few skiing pointers.
