It's still snowing here in Sarajevo. For a city built on hills, road clearance is a serious issue. The main roads are cleared by snowplow, but many roads (like ours) are staircases. They are cleared by streetcleaners in green pushing the carts they use year-round, but this time of year equipped with shovels in addition to the twig brooms they use year-round to clean sidewalks and steps. I'm always relieved when they finally make it to one of the staircases that we regularly use.
