Ellie Successed!

Eleanor has taken it upon herself to be potty-trained. When she first made this decision she sat on the potty chair for more than 45 minutes. To encourage this, we give each member of the family an m&m every time Eleanor succeeds. This was a popular idea among the second youngest of our family, who is the main motivator of our little sweetie. Isaac has begun to greet Nora's success with a rounding acclaim of,

"Ellie successed! Ellie successed!"

We hear Sam is coming our way! We're so excited to see him. We are already reserving a spot on our "sick couch" for when he gets his wisdom teeth out.

Hurrah! I hope things are still going well. I'm a fan of m&ms. My daughter, on the other hand, wasn't motivated by them. What we ended up having to do was sequester ourselves from the world and do nothing but focus on the potty. My husband and I just about went crazy, but after a week, she was using the potty. It was a miracle, I say. I was expecting it to go on for months (after trying to potty train for 1/2 the year amid schedules).
