Yesterday, shivering in his winter coat, three year old Isaac said to me, "I know why Sudan bus drivers always keep their doors open."
"Oh?" I asked.

We're not in Khartoum any more
Over the winter holidays, we moved from Sudan back to Holland; hence the long silence on our blog. It's cold, rainy, and green here, and all the utilities work all the time. We would have no internet access yet (the Dutch are effective but not necessarily speedy) except that exceptional neighbors have given us their wireless access code so we can piggyback on their internet access.
Now the dilemma: can we still write saturdaymorningkhartoum when we're in The Hague?
